Who Are We?
Lexington Adult Baseball is a wood bat, adult baseball league that has been playing continuously in Lexington, KY since 2010.  We offer a fun, competitive environment for adults who enjoy the game of baseball.  Below is some important information about our league, who plays in it, our registration offerings, and what our schedule looks like

Who Plays?
Players range from the ages of 18-50+ in our league, with most of our players sitting somewhere between their mid-20's and their late 30's.  We have a varying level of skill as well, with a few players who have played low level professional (Single A or Independent baseball), many with smaller college or club baseball backgrounds, and others who topped out around HS age and haven't played for 10+ years.  We ask all players to have some baseball experience but that's it.  If you're curious about our skill level...come to a practice!

League Structure?
We play between June and Labor Day (though weather may force us to extend) on Wednesday Evenings and Sunday afternoons/evenings.  Each team is scheduled for 15 games, as well as a double elimination playoff format, however weather may force us down to a 12 game season due to scheduling conflicts (I'm sorry, we cannot offer refunds for these games; we do our best and that money always goes back to the league).  All players, regardless of skill, will play in every game, though not all playing time may be equal.   We have played at Bryan Station HS (in Lexington), Lafayette HS (in Lexington), Georgetown College, Scott County HS, and a few other locations in the past; these change year to year based on field availability but we do our best to schedule quality fields and provide 2 trained and hired umpires and new baseballs every game.  All games are 7 innings to ensure, especially on week nights, that games end promptly.  We also have run-rules in place after 4, 5, and 6 innings to keep things moving.  Our goal is to be competitive, yet fun.

What are the league dues?
League dues are $350 for regular players, and $165 for pitcher only (more details later).  Regular players will play the field and hit, and will be guaranteed to hit in every game they show up.  We do our best to get you into your best positions, but we cannot promise a specific position every game.  We do have free defensive substitutions, so players will be able to enter and re-enter the game on a per-inning basis.  While every one is guaranteed to play, not all playing time is guaranteed to be equal between all players.  Pitcher-Only means a player will only be permitted to pitch unless a team has less than 9 players present.  If you register in our early period, you will get $30 off your registration fee.  We can accept payment online (credit or debit card) or in person (cash/check).  All registrations must be paid in full by the end of our registration period if you want to play in our Summer Season.

Do you do Part Time Players or Discounts?
We do not do part time players and only offer full time or pitcher only options.  We understand schedules can be difficult, but we want to make sure all players are invested in our league; players who don't show up put games in jeopardy (and forfeits are unfair to all involved as they are robbed of playing) and part time players can throw a wrench into that plan.  We also cannot do a pay as you play option as we have to pay for fields, umpires, and baseballs before games are played.

What if it's past registration day?
Message us on our socials about a free agent list!  We'll add players to our free agent list to be picked up as needed.  We will pro-rate your league dues based on the remaining amount of games we have in a season.  We can't promise you'll be picked up, and it's not always based on a "first come/first serve" situation (we try to pick up players based on team need positionally) but if we have openings we'll be using that to fill spots.  This is a great option for anyone just finding out about us or moving to Lexington mid-season.

Do I need any thing else (equipment)?
Players will need to buy a uniform their first year (roughly $50) but these should be one time purchases; the uniforms are chosen to last multiple seasons.  Once players are placed onto their teams, league managers will reach out to you about this process.  We have league bats and helmets that you may use, but you will need gloves, cleats and your own pants.  We have a deal with Ritchie Bats to get 10% off all purchases (message us for the discount code!).  We are a wood bat league so no metal bats will be allowed in our games.

How should I contact you?
Message us on our social medias.  We are very active on Facebook (Lexington Adult Baseball) and our instagram page (@LexAdultBaseball).  We respond quickly and promptly and almost always respond within 24 hours.
